Parkland County's Largest Residential Solar System | Sandra Mitchell
42 panels, 19.74 kW, and a 110% energy offset on cedar shake roofing for a large Parkland County acreage property.
Project Overview
Parkland County's Largest Residential Solar System | Sandra Mitchell
Sandra Mitchell wanted full energy independence for her Parkland County acreage. The result is our largest residential solar installation to date: a 42-panel, 19.74 kW system that generates 110% of the home's annual electricity needs, all installed on a challenging cedar shake roof.
Project Background
Sandra needed a system large enough to fully offset her home's significant energy consumption on her rural Parkland County property. The challenge was the cedar shake roofing, a less common surface that requires specialized mounting solutions to ensure a safe, watertight installation. Our team developed a custom approach to make it work.
What Made This Project Unique
Cedar shake roofing presented a unique engineering challenge that many installers would turn down. Our certified team developed a specialized mounting approach to safely and securely install 42 panels without compromising the roof's integrity. At 19.74 kW, this is the largest residential system we have installed, generating 19,514 kWh of clean energy annually and achieving a 110% offset.
